Electromagnetic energy only collected from space?
Hi,
Currently doing my teaching degree and have to study science =(
The assignment isn't due for about a month but I want to try and get it done and then edit if I need to. Because of this we haven't covered the content in class. As it is science, a lot of it is just research, however I've hit a bump.
The question is
"Not all energy from stars can be collected by astronomers here on Earth from space.
* Identify one kind of electromagnetic energy that can only be collected in space by orbiting telescopes and explain why this energy cannot be collected on Earth from space.
I'm not asking for an answer to the question, but if anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome!
Doh! From the previous answers I have just wasted hundreds of dollars buying sunblockers for my summer, they claimed to block UVA and UVB, this is false advertising I tell you!... oh well. But I think Xray and Gamma rays are blocked in the upper atmosphere, dunno if you can collect them though, other than focus the xray in a space telescope.
